Contract and Procurement Lead Heritage and People's Choice, Adelaide, Australia Job Description About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Contract and Procurement Lead to join the Group Procurement team in this permanent opportunity. Reporting to the Senior Leader, Group Procurement, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing procurement and vendor management strategies, including maintaining the contract lifecycle management system and assisting with the identification and management of third-party risk. Working with internal stakeholders to identify and assess contract and procurement needs, we're looking for someone with experience in procurement and vendor management within a corporate landscape. In this role, you will be the key interface working across our business to identify and assess stakeholder needs, develop and execute sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and ensure that outsourcing arrangements follow the appropriate due diligence and assessment reviews. A champion and advocate for contract management practices and policies, you will play a key role in the implementation of vendor management strategies, negotiation of new engagements and renewals, leading the contract management lifecycle, and capturing opportunities of commercial efficiency. Key Responsibilities include: Performing go to market activities including RFx documents, vendor selection and contract negotiations. Assisting with the first line management and reporting of prudential and regulatory requirements pertaining to outsourcing and third party engagements (e.g. CPS 231, 230, Modern Slavery etc.) Establishing and maintaining a vendor performance management framework and appropriate reporting systems and processes. Establishing and operationalising a fit-for-purpose Contract Lifecycle Management System. Implementing transparent processes in the selection of reliable sources of supply to improve the value proposition and ROI. Managing supplier/vendor relationships in line with agreed contractual terms and conditions and to deliver continuous improvement. Conducting proactive reviews of existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure ongoing feasibility. Ensuring all procurement activities are compliant with Policy and delegation of authority, so that appropriate approvals have been provided prior to issuing the purchase order or receiving goods or services. Collaborating closely with legal, compliance and risk teams during onboarding exercises. About youYou will have a strong sense of business acumen with at least 5 years' experience in a comparable procurement or vendor management. You must also be able to demonstrate the following: Experience procuring within the financial services industry highly desired Demonstrated experience in managing a broad internal and external stakeholder group Experience with vendor management software systems Experience in leading projects at department level Communicate with influence with senior internal and external stakeholders.
