The Role We are embarking on an exciting new chapter as we kick off design and construction of our processing plant at Tumas, our flagship mine in Namibia. As we prepare to enter production, our business is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Contract Administrator or Senior Contract Administrator to play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient project delivery. The role will operate from our head office in Subiaco and applicants must be able to travel to Namibia periodically.
Responsibilities Administering the EPCM agreement for the development of the Process Plant and associated infrastructure. Assisting with the oversight and supervision of EPCM tender activities and contract administration. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating Owners Team contracts with contractors, consultants, and suppliers under an allocated portfolio of contracts. Ensuring all contractual documents are accurately prepared and maintained in accordance with the Company's procedures. Assessing and administering contract variations and amendments as needed. Monitoring the EPCM packages of work at weekly procurement meetings. Maintaining comprehensive and organised records of all contract-related documentation. Collecting and analysing data for reporting purposes. Requesting, expediting, and collating data for all reports, providing plenty of lead time. Assisting the Principal Contracts and Procurement, Project Director and other Managers with budgeting and regular reporting. Overseeing payment processes to avoid late payments and communicate with the Company's Finance Department as required. Monitoring and administering contractor's and EPCM's commercial management performance through the construction phase. Identifying procedural non-conformances and assist in remedial measures as required. Identifying potential risks with vendors and in contract agreements and propose mitigation strategies. You To excel in this role, you will have:
A degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. Prior use of Pronto ERP systems would be an advantage. A willingness to travel to site from time to time and/or regularly spend periods of time at site as required. A minimum of 5 years' experience in contract administration, preferably within the mining industry and interfacing with an EPCM or EPC. Us
