Abergeldie Complex Infrastructure and Fulton Hogan are jointly recruiting for the West Region Delivery Team on the Sydney Water Partnering for Success program.
We are inviting applications from experienced Contract Administrators to join our collaborative construction delivery team in western Sydney.
The role
Reporting to the West Region Delivery Team Contracts Manager, key responsibilities of the role include:
Head Contract
Preparation and submission of variations, extensions of time, and measurement through the agreed project structure, including but not limited to the accurate maintenance of registers.
Preparation, submission and agreement of contractual claims for time and money, including accurate maintenance of project diary records and delays (such as client influences, inclement weather, industrial factors, design factors, subcontractors, etc).
Demonstrate control of cost expenditure against budget and contribute to the analysis of cost trends and actions in order to improve project outcomes.
Demonstrate understanding and adherence to WRDT Procurement Policies, Commercial Practices, Systems and Procedures.
Subcontract / Supplier
Identification, preparation, issue, review, recommendation, award and closure of assigned packages.
Review, and process assigned subcontract interim payment claims and final accounts in accordance with current and relevant legislation and contractual obligations, including any claims for variations and additional entitlement to time and money.
Review and process supplier payments.
Complete cost accruals as per month end processing requirements Initiate and respond to contractual correspondence in a timely and efficient manner.
Accurately maintain all registers and files (e.g.
contract, procurement, claims, variations, correspondence etc.)
Prepare monthly liability / valuation schedules and final cost forecasts for use in financial reports.
Insurance / Security
Proactively notify Insurance claims within a reasonable timeframe.
Effectively manage and maintain accurate claim records, whilst tracking payments of same.
Prepare, escalate and submit insurance claims.
Reporting and Records
Prepare or assist where required with review of monthly financial reports within prescribed timeframes and in accordance with the prescribed format.
Proactively prepare commercial input for monthly JSR meetings.
Positively participate in Project Risk Reviews where appropriate and assist in the evaluation of identifiable risks.
Collate, review and maintain site records for adequacy and accuracy, for use in the preparation of reports, variations and claims.
Undertake other commercial activities as reasonably directed by WRDT Business Systems & Processes
Ensure the effective implementation of RDC West Integrated Management System procedures and policies Management of business systems to improve the flow, quality and timeliness of information Effective and competent in the use of JDE to ensure accurate data and information You will need
To be successful in this role you will need to be experienced as a Contracts Administrator within the construction or utilities sectors.
You will also,
Possess a good working knowledge of forms of contract currently used within the construction/utilities industry Preferable to have a relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar field Have good IT skills and advanced skills in Excel and Word Have a high level of personal motivation and commercial acumen Experience with JDE will be an advantage, but is not essential Benefits
