Highly respected in the industry for their quality of work, they are one of the recognised leaders in the manufacture and installation of Glass-Fibre Reinforced Concrete in Australia. They are also the only South Australian toilet and shower partitions manufacturer for all kinds of commercial and public buildings, laminates, fibre cement and polymer plastics.They are now hiring a contract administrator to join the high-performing team in the Western suburbs of Adelaide.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in setting up commercial and contract processes and procedures for the business unitNegotiate umbrella agreements for ongoing work with SubcontractorsIdentify potential issues and areas of risk and escalate to the Legal team as requiredPrepare and review low-value and low-risk contracts, ensure previously negotiated terms are captured, assist the legal team with conducting negotiations with head contractors and subcontractorsMeet with a member of the Legal team regularly to review the status of contract reviews, negotiations, disputes, litigation, insurance claims, notable EOT or variation claims, and other matters identified at project meetingsIn collaboration with the project managers, perform contract administration activities including variations, notices of delays, extension of times and progress claimsMaintain a live register of all the agreements, ensuring all the contracts are up to date, and all insurances are currentAssess the Legal team's contract reviews where provided, identifying contractual and commercial risks and advising on strategies to mitigate themAttend pre-tender, post-tender and construction meetings with clients, negotiate optimum contractual terms and conditions related to each projectAttend a bi-annual conference with the Legal team and other Commercial Advisors to share knowledge regarding processes, developments in the law, and lessons learned from projects and identify opportunities for the Legal team and other Commercial Advisors to network and work togetherExperience and QualificationsAt least 2 years experience in a similar role within the commercial constructionQualifications in Administration are desirableAbility to work autonomouslyCar and Driving LicenceIf this opportunity sounds like something you would be interested in please feel free to apply via the APPLY button.
