You will work as part of a smaller team, so you can expect to build excellent connections with your peers.The Role:An opportunity exists for an experienced Contract Administrator to join Lynas Rare Earths. This is a fixed term 12-month contract based in Perth, with regular visits to site as required.Embedded within the Mt Weld Expansion project team, the main responsibility of this role is to assist the team to manage the end-to-end commercial management of major works contracts, service contracts and self-performed works of the $570 million Mt Weld Expansion project.Key Responsibilities:Effectively administer contracts through all phases, including scope preparation, procurement, cost forecasting, contractor and subcontractor management, claims/variations processing, completion and close out.Manage monthly reporting, supplier meetings, contract correspondence registers, records management, and project registersProvide contract analysis and advice to the businessEscalate to line leader any contract related issues requiring resolution.Monitoring and advising on compliance with contractual obligations, including revisions to existing contractsMaximise contract value through identification of opportunities.Undertake cost forecasting for contracts and ensure cost issues are appropriately escalated upon identification.Prepare and maintain commercial and contract systems including Project Cost Reporting and Contract Sum.Provide support to site owners team engineers regarding site instructions, variation proposals and extension of time claims to ensure optimal outcomes for the Project.Proactively manage Project Team relationship with Contractors through formal and informal processes and communications, including regular attendance on site.Assist the Senior Contracts Administrator or Manager as may be applicable in audits of major works contracts.What you will bring to the team:Experience as a Contracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyor in the construction and engineering industry.Experience in all stages of contract administration, including procurement, cost forecasting, subcontractor management, claims/variations management, completion and close out.Experience with large, technically complex works packages.Experience managing all aspects of workflow and contracts regarding construction projects, including RFI's, TQ's, Change Orders, PO's.Qualifications and/or Skills:High level of accuracy and attention to detailEffective communication skills, particularly when liaising with other departments or external organisations such as clients, suppliers and regulatorsAbility to work independently or as part of a teamStrong organisational skillsQualifications related to contract drafting and negotiationAwareness and compliance with document control and records management procedures.We welcome and encourage applications from women and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, the LGBTIQA+ community, mature workers, as well as candidates with culturally diverse backgrounds.
