Our values are Excellence, Empowerment, Creativity and Care.About the RoleJoin our team as a Contracts Administrator (CA) and become an integral part of our project's success. From the initial tender to subcontract completion and closeout, you will play a key role in efficiently managing commercial activities and minimising contractual issues and disputes.The role will be located in Maribyrnong, VIC, with the possibility of additional CA opportunities becoming available at other site locations.Responsibilities of the role include;Review draft scopes of works and compile tender packages.Conduct initial discussions/negotiations with subcontractors to clarify subcontract terms and conditions.Manage the review process to ensure timely and budgeted award of subcontractors.Maintain project procurement schedule and subcontract register.Maintain accurate cost records and report any cost issues to project management.Assess commercial and contractual risks and recommend controls.Check compliance and prepare reporting on subcontract performance.Ensure accurate valuation and assessment of progress claims.Operate and maintain commercial and subcontract systems.To be successful in this role, you will have;Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law, Commerce, Accounting or equivalent.CA/CPA.Previous experience as a Contracts Administrator within the engineering and construction industry.Experience with a variety of project values and complexities including subcontractor negotiations.Skills to interpret and apply relevant legislation/code on the project to prevent potential business exposure.Intermediate to advanced proficiency in relevant software packages such as Microsoft Suite (including Excel) and exposure to a contract management system (CRM).The ability to work on-site in the outer south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne.As part of the team, you help us deliver on our promise to transform lives.Your success is reflected in ours, so we're committed to being an employer of choice.
