THE ROLE:
As a Contract Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and successful operation of our client's projects. You will manage building permits, contracts, color selections, and account-related items, while supporting on-site personnel and assisting the Contract Administration Manager and Site/Project Managers. You will serve as the central contact point for all project-related matters, ensuring customer satisfaction and up-to-date status tracking.
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role in the construction industry.Sound understanding of architectural drawings.Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.Strong time management and prioritizing skills.Knowledge of the project cycle, including sales, pre-site, and on-site exposure.Highly organized and efficient in minute-taking.Demonstrated customer service skills.Experience with HIA & AS building contracts.Knowledge of project specifications and color selections.Familiarity with building permits, authority, and council applications and approvals.Experience with invoicing processes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage and oversee building permit applications and ensure timely receipt.Draft and execute contracts, including managing purchaser information.Administer and finalize contracts, specifications, and color selections promptly.Maintain accurate project documentation and communicate changes to relevant parties.Issue progress claims and invoices, ensuring timely settlement.Support the Operations and Production Managers with procurement tasks.Act as the liaison between retail clients and the construction team.Regularly update clients on project progress and tracking.Attend client presentations and meetings as needed.Work closely with project estimators and supervisors for optimal outcomes.Manage all project documentation, including working drawings and engineering plans.Administer head contract variations, extensions of time, and requests for information.Draft and issue fortnightly construction progress reports where applicable.Adhere to company policies and procedures, including workplace health and safety standards.
