This dynamic and diverse building contractor boasts the highest diversity rates in the industry and has built a strong reputation for its ability to deliver complex projects up to $30m in value across the fit-out, refurb/heavy refurb, and construction sectors.Specialising in commercial refurbishment/fit-out, hospitality, and boutique residential projects, they are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Contract Administrator / Senior Contract Administrator to join their dynamic team based within walking distance from Sydney Central Station.As a Senior Contract Administrator, you will be crucial in ensuring the smooth execution of construction contracts and projects. NSW, VIC and QLD CurrentlyCareer opportunities to progress to Contracts Manager and Commercial Manager as the company progresses.Engaging and passionate leaders who actually care about people, processes, and systems. & Understand the construction sector is getting more sophisticated.Responsibilities:Contract Management: Manage the full lifecycle of construction contracts, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalising agreements with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to contracts, including variations, progress claims, certificates of completion, and project correspondence.Cost Control: Monitor and control project costs, ensuring compliance with budgets and contractual requirements. Collaborate with the project team to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement effective measures.Subcontractor Coordination: Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure timely delivery of materials, services, and documentation.Maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.Project Support: Provide support to the project management team in all aspects of project execution, including procurement, scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting.Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including building codes, safety standards, and contract terms. Proactively identify and address any compliance issues.Dispute Resolution: Assist in resolving any contractual disputes or claims, working closely with your PM to protect the company's interests while maintaining positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience as a Contract Administrator in tier two / three builder.In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and project management principles.Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as MS Office and Procore.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Ultimately - this employer looks behind what's on paper because they know people are different and a personality, enthusiasm, and hard work, can't be captured on a resume.
