We are seeking an amazing Content Producer/Journalist to join the Cussons Media team, to drive high-end media production in some of the most incredible landscapes Australia has to offer.
You'll be responsible for content creation for some of the biggest global brands in agriculture This hybrid role includes incredible travel opportunities across Australia Industry leading professional development and growth opportunities Work with some of the best cinematographers and editors in the country This is too good an opportunity to be missed! We do this by creating high end video, written and audio content in paddocks across Australia, working with some of the world's largest agricultural businesses.
Our new Content Producer will work as part of a team doing pre-production, day of production and post-production for unique video projects, as well as other exciting media content, including written and podcast work.

Job Type: 12 month full-time contract with potential for extension to permanent.
Salary: $90, 000 - $100,000 package excluding super - depending on skills and experience
Location: This is a hybrid location role, including working from home and regular location-based production work - see the best of Australian agriculture!

Job Description – Content Producer/Journalist Job Title: Content Producer/Journalist

Supervisor/Manager: Head of Content
Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 package excluding super - depending on skills and experience Main Duties/Responsibilities: Be operationally responsible for multiple key projects for Cussons Media, including video, written and audio content. This includes;
Create high quality, innovative content media solutions for our clients, including;Pre-productionWriting shoot briefs Briefing camera crew Organising logistics – number of shoot days, location of accommodation, travel times etc. Day of Shoot Leading the day of production by actively directing camera crew and talent. This often involves sunrise/sunset call times and long days. While our office hours are 9am - 5pm, this role requires flexible hours for shoot and travel days in particular Conducting effective and high quality interviews Ensuring all required visual assets are captured Nurturing relationships with clients, talent and crew Capturing behind the scenes content for Cussons Media SM channels Managing logistics Ensuring CASA drone rules are followed Post-productionWriting impactful scripts for our video editing team Managing interview audio for transcription Writing articles Selecting and editing photos Managing project approvals with talent and clients Managing Talent Release Forms, including supply of copy to client as required Provide support and guidance for CM's DOP's (cinematographers), editors, writers, graphic designers and other team members Actively debrief projects to help improve CM's systems; celebrate wins, take ownership of learning opportunities, and find innovative ways to improve the solutions we provide for clients Nurture relationships and support project strategy with clients Report to Head of Content on a regular basis on key outcomes Regular travel to regional and rural locations across Australia Actively forming strong relationships with Cussons Media team, including;CM Head of Content CM CEO CM Technical Director Other CM Content Producers Cinematographers Video editors Graphic designers Researchers/technical writers Photographers Audio studio Actively forming strong relationships with externals, including;Clients - marketing team and field staff Talent Managing data, including;Managing projects through project management software Effectively using the CM database, including correct filing and naming of video versions Use CM calendars to effectively manage workload Other tasks as required Skills & Experience Minimum five years journalism experience High level skills in interviewing and scripting with impact An understanding of how agricultural systems/seasons work and an interest in/passion for the sector Excellent organisational skills An ability to remain calm under pressure Manual drivers licence Performance Goals /Behaviours Be aligned with and actively live the Cussons Media values (see below) A commitment to innovation and continual improvement, particularly through the daily debrief process Actively embrace the debrief process - understand that feedback may not always be what you want to hear, but in the Cussons Media culture of 'nameless-rankless-blameless' debriefing, it's that very feedback that drives individual and team growth, and continuous improvement.
