The Role We are seeking a Content Navigator to work closely with Content Makers as they serve changing audience needs. The position will be embedded in our state news team, working with journalists and producers to ensure the best content can be easily found anytime, anywhere. This is a great opportunity to make an impact and maximise content value through searching, managing content and actively contributing to the editorial process with selections of raw media. As an integral part of a state news team, you will bring and create new ideas to enhance production, and editorial value. This role requires you to be working on site in the Canberra office. About YouTo maximise your contribution to the team, you will have qualifications or skills and experience in either Library or Archives, particularly in Broadcasting. We are looking for someone who works at a fast pace and thrives in a busy, deadline driven environment and who understands the importance of accurate record management for cultural material retention and re-use. A sharp communicator, you have a good reputation for problem-solving and time management skills and are comfortable with working independently or as part of a team. You will also be able to demonstrate: Sound knowledge of content management principles and ability to apply that knowledge over a variety of broadcast media formats and records, specifically digital files and metadata.Understanding of content that holds a value for re-use and production.Ability to perform metadata quality assurance and apply metadata standards and principles across a range of resources and systems with a strong level of accuracy.
