The Role
The Content Designer will leverage evidence-based research to create content that guides users to self-serve across newly created electoral systems. This position demands a blend of creative and analytical skills to produce and refine content that resonates with diverse audiences and upholds strategic goals.
Responsibilities
Writing and editing help content for system, web, and other digital channels.
Employing user research, data insights, and service design methodologies to develop content that is clear, cohesive, and compelling, aligning with user requirements and organizational objectives.
Generating and refining comprehensive content, including operational manuals, policy guides, and digital content.
Working closely with various departments and external entities to synchronize content strategies and ensure consistency across all communication channels.
Testing user-centric conversational flows.
Collaborating with Service Designers and SMEs to create compelling and effective user interactions.
Contributing to interface language, iterating on copy, and participating in user research sessions.
Developing content that enables users to successfully self-serve and complete digital and non-digital tasks.
Crafting content that demystifies electoral processes, making them accessible and understandable to all Australians.
Using user research to evaluate the effectiveness of in-platform language and finding ways to improve feature adoption and reduce support inquiries.
Offering expert content strategy advice to colleagues within the Program and the broader community, fostering a culture of excellence in communication.
Actively contributing to the enhancement of content guidelines, workflows, and tools, promoting best practices within the Department.
