This role will coordinate the development and review of content for the Service Tasmania web presence, knowledge management system (KMS) and myServiceTas portal.The Service Tasmania website helps make it easier for Tasmanians to find the services and advice they need. The website sources information on government services from the Service Tasmania KMS as the single source of information for customers and staff.The success of the website is dependent on the development and maintenance of high-quality content that is easy to understand, well-structured and written in plain English with a customer focus. For staff, having access to clear internal processes within the KMS also helps in delivering an improved experience to customers.The role will work closely with the Communications Team within Service Tasmania who look after graphic design, social media and the broader communication strategy.The Service Tasmania website and KMS are delivered as part of a broad strategy to better support our communities by providing information that is clear and consistent, and that enables the public to easily engage with government.

DutiesAct as primary content editor for the Service Tasmania web presence, including: Develop and maintain website content and customer-facing information about Tasmanian Government services.Periodically review published service information with key stakeholders to ensure information is accurate and reflective of current service offerings.Monitor and maintain consistent standards around writing styles, use of plain English, and other good practices surrounding website accessibility.Over time, train other content editors in the appropriate editing and style for the website. Coordinate maintenance of information in the KMS, including: Maintenance of public-facing website contentAlong with subject matter experts, contribute to the development of internal procedural documentation around our service offerings to support Service Tasmania staff in providing customer service.Coordinate the periodic review of all KMS content to ensure accuracy and sign-off from relevant internal and external stakeholders.Maintain information classification hierarchies and groupings to assist staff in locating the service information they require. Respond to staff and customer feedback relating to the Service Tasmania website content with a view toward continuous improvement.Liaise and consult with a large number of agencies and departments who have ownership of specific government services to ensure service information and linkage points through to agency websites is up-to-date.The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level.A degree or tertiary qualification or background in communications or marketing.Download the Statement of Duties and any Associated DocumentsElectronic submission of application is preferred, please click the blue 'ApplyNow' button.
