Casual Contact Centre Officers (APS2) Register, Client Engagement and Despatch UnitLocation: Geelong, VictoriaSeveral casual APS2 positions$33.86 per hour, plus 15.4% superannuationThe Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has an exciting opportunity for people looking to gain experience in an office environment and/or are seeking a career change.

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates with customer service and/or administration experience to join our Client Engagement and Despatch Unit as an APS2 Contact Centre Officer in our Geelong, Victoria office.

These positions are casual ($33.86 per hour), with the opportunity to work 5 business days a week dependant on the available work. It is a requirement for all applicants to be available a minimum of 3 business days per week. Shifts are 7.25 hours in duration, Monday - Friday between 8.45am and 7:00pm during AEST and 8.45am and 8:00pm during AEDT.
About the roles Provide frontline support to ABS data providers by answering inbound calls, answering general questions, provide information and assistance with data collections.Assist with data collection by calling data providers to follow-up on outstanding statistical collection/s.Maintain and improve provider's experience by adhering to standard guidelines and procedures.Adhere and uphold APS Values, obligations and perform duties in accordance with the Census & Statistics Act, and adhere to strict confidentiality agreements in accordance with Australian Government policy and legislation (Privacy Act 1988).What we are looking for (selection criteria) Strong verbal communication and phone skills.Professionalism.Multi-tasking.What we offer Competitive hourly rate and superannuation.Supportive and friendly team environment.Flexible working hours and work-life balance including the potential of working from home.Comprehensive initial training with ongoing coaching and career development.Eligibility and further information To apply for this opportunity, you must be an Australian Citizen and be able to work a minimum of three, 7.25 hour shifts a week.
