We offer a hybrid work arrangement, with the opportunity to work from our Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong or Canberra offices and remotely for ~ 2 days per week, as desired.
What you'll do Provide environmental assessment and planning inputs (EIS, SSI, SSD, REFs, SEEs, MWREFs, etc) into projects which vary in scale and complexity including large scale local and national infrastructure projects such as:Renewable energy focused projects – transmission and generationTransport projects – supporting new infrastructure developments and the transition of existing infrastructure towards Net Zero statusWater projects – supporting asset maintenance and delivery programsHave project management opportunities and the ability to further develop this skill set with support from experienced senior team membersCollaborate with technical discipline specialists such as ecologists, acousticians, contaminated land scientists, engineers and designers, heritage consultants, stakeholders, and the community to create innovative solutionsSupport growth of the business with work winning initiatives, including preparation of fee proposalsDevelop new and support existing relationships with clientsBe part of a supportive, exceptional team of passionate environmental assessment and planning professionalsYou will engage with diverse clients, spanning Commonwealth, State, and Local Governments, as well as the private sector (including Tier 1 Developers).
The role offers exposure to various statutory Commonwealth/State/Territory environment and planning approval processes, with potential opportunities across different states.
Our recent projects include: Early strategic environmental assessment of renewable energy projects including emerging renewable technologies (onshore and offshore wind, pumped hydro, and hydrogen technologies) and transport projects such as Zero Emissions Bus transitionsEnvironmental assessment and planning approvals services for some of the largest electrical transmission projects in the country including EnergyConnect, Central West Orana Renewable Energy Zone Transmission project, and the Victoria to NSW Interconnector West.Planning approvals for iconic projects including Western Sydney International Airport Airspace approvals and Inland Rail.About you You're likely to have between 2-10 years of experience in environmental approvals and planning, and you strive to resolve environmental issues to help shape outcomes in our community.
In addition, you bring the following skills and attributes:
