About The Role
In Business Transformation at FTI Consulting, we focus on our clients' strategic, operational, financial and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of performance, financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders.
Our services include strategic and business planning, profitability improvement, merger, integration and carve-out and pre-deal commercial and operational due diligence, including interim management.
Business Transformation sits with the FTI Corporate Finance practice and works alongside colleagues in the Restructuring, Transactions Services, Tax and Digital Science teams, providing a holistic offer for our clients and a rewarding experience for our staff.
What You'll Do

Participate in project teams, working with clients on the execution of various engagements.
Key activities include:

Financial and operational modelling
Operational analysis (e.g. OEE assessment, FTE benchmark)
Company financial analysis
Market analysis
Identification of upside / downside potential
Development of implementable improvement plans
Carve-out and integration planning
Private equity due diligence reports
Programme management and implementation support
Contribute to presentation and report writing
Participation in client / internal meetings (regular and extensive travel requirement)

What You Will Need to Succeed
Qualifications & Experience

Educated to 2:1 university degree level (or equivalent), preferably in a numerical degree or that has a numerical element
Demonstrable consulting experience.
Project experience in high paced environments focused on rapid results (e.g. rapid performance improvement, turnaround, due diligence)
Demonstrable and relevant industry expertise in companies with complex operations or environments highly preferred
Work experience and the ability to demonstrate results delivery across functions in at least some of the following focus areas:

Performance improvement, ideally turnaround, including diagnosis
Operations
Business plan review / development
Industry experience (e.g. consumer goods, retail, TMT, specialty chemicals, pharma, transportation and logistics, travel and leisure)
Implementation
Market assessment
Transactions experience


Excellent consulting skills, specifically:

Proven ability to take a hypothesis focused approach to solve problems from first principles
Strong Excel based analytic and modelling skills
Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with team members and clients at all levels using a range of styles to suit the audience
Strong written communication skills with experience of producing client ready PowerPoint documents for senior audiences
Relationship building skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport, develop strong working relationships and work in diverse teams
Excellent organizational and planning skills and confident working with a number of demanding stakeholders, with the ability to handle multiple tasks
Equally strong EQ and IQ
Basic knowledge of P&L, cash flow and balance sheet
Flexible approach to work, with the desire and capability to work across sectors and project types
Highly numerate with the ability to absorb and assimilate a high quantum of information
Desire and ability to learn and be enthusiastic around further training
Computer literate with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
Fluent English speaker and writer; continental languages, especially Dutch, German, Italian, French and Spanish, highly preferable
