The Royal Children's Hospital's (RCH) Vision is "A world where all kids thrive".
RCH is a cornerstone member of the Melbourne Children's Campus, partnering with Murdoch Children's Research Institute, The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics and The Royal Children's Hospital Foundation.
This is a permanent (ongoing) position at 14 hours per fortnight (0.2 FTE) within the Mental Health Department, in the hospital and community.
You Will be Responsible For: Providing direct clinical care informed by the latest evidence base to consumers 0-4 years of age and their families with complex mental health problems.Providing clinical governance to the care provided by the multidisciplinary team.Providing training and supervision to junior medical staff from the RANZCP and/or RACP training programs.Participating in clinical quality improvement activities in the department.Your Skills and Experience: Registration as a medical practitioner and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent qualification.Advanced Training in child and adolescent psychiatry.Further training in Infant Mental Health.Extensive experience in the mental health sector and sound knowledge of the relevant legislation pertaining to Mental Health.Excellent clinical skills and a commitment to professional development.Accreditation as an RANZCP Supervisor.An interest in teaching and research with publications in refereed journals in the field of mental health.Other Requirements: Current National Criminal Record Check, or willing to obtain.Valid Working with Children Check.Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willing to obtain.Compliance with RCH's "Staff Immunisation - Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases" procedure.Application Process To apply, you will need a resume and a tailored cover letter outlining your skills, experience, and suitability for the position.
