This position is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our new Mental Health Service facility with roles available in the adult, older adult and consultant liaison teams.
The Service offers open and secure accommodation, and beds are opening in a staged approach. JHC also operates a ten-bed Emergency Department, Mental Health Observation Area (MHOA) and a Consultation-Liaison service.
MHU is a 102-bed unit, and the hospital has a dedicated, consultant-led consultation/liaison team and a Mental Health Observation Area (MHOA team). The Mental Health Observation Area is adjacent to the emergency department.
The Hospitalis an accredited placement for Specialist Psychiatric Trainees and medical students from the University of Western Australia and Curtin University. The hospital has submitted an application to RANZCP for accreditation for basic and advanced training positions.
Requirements: FRANZCP.
