About the Infant Child and Youth Mental Health Service (ICYMHS) ICYMHS is part of the Mental Health division at Austin Health.
Multiple teams provide specialised service to the north-eastern catchment of Melbourne (local government areas of Banyule, Nillumbik, Darebin, Whittlesea, Yarra and Boroondara).
Young people eligible for the service are 0 to 25 years in line with Royal Commission recommendations.

About the Role As the Consultant Psychiatrist, you will provide leadership and clinical governance to the front-end services for children and youth in the Mental Health Division at Austin Health.
You will also play a pivotal role in linking the ICYMHS service with general Consultation Psychiatrist Liaison services at Austin Health to the Emergency Department.

About You To be successful in this role, you must:
Be a registered Medical Practitioner in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent post graduate specialist qualification Hold a RANZCP Certificate of Advanced Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, or equivalent.
Psychiatrists with significant experience in Youth Psychiatry will be considered for the role focused on young people aged 12-25 years Have an interest in access, frontline assessment and Liaison Psychiatry settings Demonstrate a commitment to high-quality patient care Demonstrate a commitment to working as a team member with peer medical, junior medical, nursing and other clinical staff to provide efficient, safe and quality care across the continuum Demonstrate a commitment to teaching, training and research Our Benefits Working at Austin Health means enjoying a strong sense of purpose, engaging in meaningful work every day.
