With a focus on quality and patient-centered care, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with an experienced team to deliver best-practice paediatric services across the region.
You'll also be involved in outreach programs, ensuring that children in surrounding rural areas have access to the care they need, including culturally appropriate services for Aboriginal children.
Role Responsibilities: Provide expert paediatric care, including neonate services, to improve health outcomes for children and babies.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care across the region.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure the delivery of evidence-based care.
Mentor and train junior medical staff and contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs.
Provide outreach outpatient services to northern regional hospitals.
Take part in after-hours rosters and clinical review programs.
Requirements: Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent.
Registration with the Medical Board of Australia in General Paediatrics and Child Health.
Demonstrated experience in paediatrics, particularly in rural or regional settings.
A commitment to improving access to healthcare for Aboriginal children.
