Salary: MP Year 1 - 9 $336,466 - $427,886 p.a.
pro rata or $644.98 - $820.23 per session (inclusive of base salary & applicable allowances)

WHERE COMPASSION MEETS EXCELLENCE: JOIN OUR NEONATOLOGY DEPARTMENT TODAY! Position Profile and Role: Neonatology cares for the sickest newborn babies, infants who are born preterm and babies requiring specialist treatment in their first months of life.
The successful applicants will be required to be part of a multidisciplinary team providing specialist neonatology retrieval and transport services to sick newborns as part of the Newborn Emergency Transport Service (NETS) WA.
Expected duties will be: Oversee referral of patients, provide clinical advice and coordinate the logistics and planning of patient transfer.Provide hands-on support to complex high-risk retrievals.Assist the medical director of NETS WA in the development of the safety and quality structure, supervise audit and quality improvement activities, and participate in clinical incident reviews.Create and revise guidelines, standard operating procedures and protocols for use in the retrieval setting.Engage in teaching and training of retrieval doctors and nurses, interagency education as well as education to outer metro and rural hospitals.Assist the medical director of NETS WA with collaborating as required with multi-agency reviews of clinical cases and committees.The successful applicant(s) will be expected to work collaboratively in a team by consensus under the direction of the medical director.
They will also be required to assist the Neonatology Directorate as required by the Medical Co-Director.

Newborn Emergency Transport Service (NETS WA), situated at PCH, is intricately involved in the retrieval and transport of ill newborns from both metropolitan and regional areas of Western Australia.KEMH Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, situated in Subiaco, stands as the largest tertiary/quaternary perinatal NICU in Australia.PCH Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, located within the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre site in Nedlands, serves as the sole tertiary surgical NICU in Western Australia.The CAHS Neonatology Directorate offers an enriching experience that contributes to the well-being of newborns and young children, while also providing valuable learning and growth for medical professionals.
