This is a recruitment pool to fill Permanent (Sessional, Part-Time or Full Time), Fixed Term (Sessional, Part-Time or Full Time) or Casual appointments. FTE varies across each region. Fixed Term appointments include the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.Remuneration:The advertised salary range is based on classifications under the WA Health System – Medical Practitioners – AMA Industrial Agreement 2024. Classification and level are determined by factors including qualifications, experience, type of medical registration, location, and specialist assessment outcomes from the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP).Southern Regions (Goldfields, Great Southern, Midwest and South West):MP Year 1-9 $395,490 to $502,265 p.a. pro rata$758.13 to $962.82 per session*includes base salary, professional development allowance and 11.5% employer contributed superannuation.Northern Regions (Kimberley and Pilbara):MP Year 1-9, $552,009 to $656,772 pa pro rata$1,058.16 to $1,258.99 per session*includes base salary, professional development allowance and 11.5% employer contributed superannuation.About the Role:WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is actively seeking experienced Consultant Paediatricians, registered with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), to deliver high-quality paediatric healthcare across regional hospitals. As part of our commitment to providing comprehensive care, we are prioritising general paediatricians with a special interest in developmental paediatrics.As a Consultant Paediatrician, you will lead the delivery of inpatient and outpatient paediatric patient services, often collaborating with Clinical Nurse Specialists in Paediatrics through outreach services to ensure consistent, high-quality care across regional centres. You will also guide and support trainees, including Registrars and Residents in accredited Paediatric training positions, while mentoring Junior Medical Officers and medical students in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment alongside Allied Health Professionals.
