Location:The Royal Hobart Hospital and Department of Paediatrics is seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for a Consultant Paediatric Rehabilitation Specialist, Women's and Children's Medical services vacancy.

The Department of Women's, Adolescent and Children's Services is a supportive, coherent, and highly functioning team motivated to meet the service needs of our community.
Key Responsibilities:Consultations on and assessment and management of children with developmental and acquired disabilities, including the related follow-up tasks and multidisciplinary liaison, to specific children and adolescents within the South of the State.Liaison with consultant paediatricians, allied health, and other medical staff regarding multidisciplinary assessment and management of children and adolescents with disabilities in the North and North West.Provision of specialist clinical advice and support to consultant paediatricians, allied health, and other medical staff within the State.

Medical Practitioners (Public Sector) Award A remuneration package comprising the Agreement base salary, relevant allowances, and other entitlements will be negotiated with the successful applicant dependent on clinical experience and seniority.
Base salary points range for Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1 at $216,300 through to Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 11 at $296,640 with further salary increments available.
Minimum Requirements:Holds specialist registration; orIs a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) on the specialist pathway.Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an IMG with a recognised overseas specialist qualification assessed as having sufficient experience in the speciality.Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration.The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer.
