Consultant Operations Manager

Details of the offer

Are you passionate about supporting businesses to grow and succeed?
Are you a strategic thinker, good communicator and problem solver, and enthusiastic about learning and growing in a new role?
How about designing and implementing systems and procedures to drive efficiency and success?
Do you enjoy project work, research, and analysis, as well as being involved in implementation and seeing the project through all phases?
If this sounds like you, you'll love this role!
About the business
Our client works with a range of SMEs, helping them grow and expand their businesses and get to the next stage.
Their clients include retail, manufacturing, e-commerce, logistics and service-based, business-to-business and business-to-consumer organisations.
They recognise that small businesses don't generally have access to the range and depth of skills and knowledge they need to transition, grow and achieve their goals.
And they often need help with things outside their comfort zone.
Working closely with the owner and their team, their consultant operations managers advise, facilitate and coordinate all the services the business needs, bridging the gap and pulling in expertise from the broader team as needed.
Of course, what each business needs is different at any given time and varies widely.
Working across all levels of the organisation, services they coordinate and project-manage include planning, HR, getting finances in line, marketing and promotion, logistics and IT.
Because their client businesses come from all sectors and they tailor the services provided to each, there's never a shortage of challenge and variety!
Now to where you come in…
As a consultant operations manager, you'll deep-dive into each business in your portfolio.
You're somebody who can work at the strategy level - developing and updating the strategic plan - while also understanding the business operations and executing projects to achieve identified goals.
You can map out and take on the big-picture view, including the industry your client works in and the environmental factors at play.
Plus, you can sift through and analyse operational data to pinpoint what that business and the individuals in it need.
You bring together and coordinate teams of unique individuals, bringing out the best in them, helping them to succeed in their roles, and creating business success.
You are:

an excellent communicator and problem-solver
someone who loves a challenge and to learn
highly organised (expert juggler)
tech-savvy and keen to expand your skills
results driven

And you enjoy collaborating and bouncing ideas off colleagues and counterparts – one of the perks of working in a team of consultant OMs.
You have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field – business, accounting, management, etc.- and at least 3 years' workforce experience, including supervisory/management experience.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a winning team, help businesses grow and achieve their goals, and develop a skill set that sets you apart from your peers.
If the above hasn't quite got you sold, here are some other benefits to consider:

An energy-filled and dynamic team.
Plenty of autonomy, variety and challenge.
The opportunity to be mentored and expand your knowledge and skills.
An attractive remuneration package.
Flexible work arrangements: working from home approximately two days a week and from client offices/locations in Melbourne's South East as needed.
Apply nowApplications close at 5pm Wednesday, 15th January 2025.
However, we'll review applications as they come through, so please submit your resume and cover letter ASAP.
