We are seeking an experienced Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join a regional hospital that serves a vibrant community in Western Australia.
About the Role :
You will provide comprehensive obstetrics and gynaecology services, working alongside a team of specialists, registrars, and General Practitioner Obstetricians (GPOs).
As a key leader in the department, your role will include overseeing patient care, teaching medical students and junior doctors, and contributing to clinical governance and policy development.
The hospital is accredited for training by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG), and you will play a pivotal role in supporting the education of future specialists.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide specialist clinical care in obstetrics and gynaecology. Lead and mentor a team of junior doctors and medical students. Collaborate on clinical governance, policy development, and service improvement initiatives. Participate in an on-call roster shared with fellow specialists and GPOs. What We Offer :
Competitive Salary : $306,690 - $398,110 per year, commensurate with experience. Flexible contract options : Permanent Full-Time and Fixed-Term Full-Time positions available. Qualifications : Registered as a Specialist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or eligible for specialist recognition. Experience : Proven expertise in obstetrics and gynaecology, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care. Leadership : Ability to provide both clinical and administrative leadership in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. SIMGs : International medical graduates with a determination of "substantially comparable" from RANZCOG are welcome to apply.
