Job DescriptionWe are growing and are seeking a Health Services Consultant to work on a casual basis.This role is to provide health and wellbeing services via early intervention framework (and other similar services) to customers to assist injured/ill individuals to access appropriate health care whilst supporting them with both personal and work-related issues. The consultant will ensure excellent service delivery and customer service. These services are a combination of telephonic and mobile services.
Tasks include but are not limited to: Undertake or organise relevant injury prevention and wellbeing services, including but not limited to ergonomic assessments, injury prevention training, and general health and well-being initiatives.Triaging of new injuries or illnesses – both work and non-work related.Undertaking relevant follow-up post-triage, including but not limited to organisation of medical and allied health appointments; liaison with all stakeholders; provision of email updates; creation of recovery plans.Undertake administration activities relating to claim processes where appropriate.Conduct occasional case conferences with health providers and the injured/ill individual, in order to assess the requirements of the individual.Work collaboratively with other consultants, who may be required to undertake meetings or case conferences.QualificationsTertiary Qualifications as a RN or other Allied Health (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or Exercise Physiology).Mental Health care/coordination experience highly valuable.Mental health assessment skills.Good clinical assessment skills for mental health and physical injuries.Ability to develop rapport with clientele over telehealth.Ability to coach clientele to reach personal health goals and milestones.Additional InformationBe part of the MedHealth group voted Financial Review Boss Best Places to Work.
