The Specialist, Governance Enablement role is within the Technology and Operations (T&O) division that creates value through the deployment of resilient and innovative technology and data solutions, and delivery of shared enterprise services at scale. Within T&O, the role is part of the Partnering, Quality & Integration (PIQ) business unit, which strives to uplift quality across the IAG group.
The purpose of the role and your unique contribution is to deploy, optimise and enable compliance with T&O owned frameworks, policies and standards to ensure the effective management of data and technology risk.
With a focus on data governance and effective management of technology risk, you will develop governance processes, and supporting tooling that enable a significant level of self-service, and compliance with governance requirements.
You will develop training materials and deliver training to stakeholders across IAG to create awareness and build capability in the relevant frameworks, policies and standards.
In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the effectiveness of the risk management practices within T&O and across the enterprise, and the achievement of the "Manage our risks" pillar of IAG's corporate strategy.
This position is a permanent, full-time opportunity and can based in a metropolitan area on the east coast of Australia.
About You The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
 
Extensive experience (at least five years) in governance and risk, ideally within the financial services industry. In-depth knowledge of relevant technology, data, and operational risk regulations. Strong understanding of technology, information security, and data risk. Results-oriented mindset coupled with competent written communication skills. Proven ability to communicate effectively and simplify complex topics for a senior audience. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, i.e. data, technology, or risk.
