The purpose of the role and your unique contribution is to ensure that policies and standards within T&O are fit for purpose and encapsulate the prevailing regulatory and legislative requirements.
With a focus on data governance and the effective management of technology risk, you will monitor the external environment for changes in regulation/legislation relevant to T&O frameworks, standards, and policies, and propose changes that balance the need for compliance with the achievement of IAG's strategic objectives and risk appetite. You will monitor and report on compliance with the frameworks, policies, and standards across the organisation.
In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the effectiveness of the risk management practices within T&O and across the enterprise, and the achievement of the "Manage our risks" pillar of IAG's corporate strategy.
This position is a permanent, full-time opportunity and can be based in a metropolitan location on the east coast of Australia.
About You The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Extensive experience in policy setting or similar roles, ideally within the financial services industry, including several years in leadership positions.Deep understanding of relevant technology, data, and operational risk regulations.Strong understanding of technology, information security, and data risk.Strong outcome orientation.Proven ability to communicate effectively and simplify complex topics for a senior audience.Tertiary qualifications in a legal discipline or a relevant field, such as data, technology, or risk.Applications close on Friday, 15 November 2024 at 23:59pm.
