Our Mergers & Acquisitions and Sustainable Operations team is currently going through a period of significant growth in the market whilst also servicing an existing large client base. Consultants in the M&A team work on a wide range of interesting technical and strategic projects: such as technical, EHS audits, EHS/ESG due diligence, ESG strategy and project finance. Further, the team has an extensive pipeline of environment, health and safety compliance audits for major global corporations. To support the successful delivery of this growth ambition, the team is looking to appoint a consultant role to deliver compliance audits, as well support for transactional advisory services through EHS, ESG or Environmental Due Diligence. The ideal candidate will have several years in a client-facing role such as compliance audits or due diligence, as well as strong communication and written skills.
Primary Responsibilities Support and lead the delivery of onsite compliance audits covering topics such as environment and health and safety support with the team's existing and future pipeline. Support and lead the delivery of transactional advisory services, such as environmental, EHS and/or ESG due diligence, including site inspections typically within ANZ. Support project managers, including completion of proposals and budgeting. Project management experience will be seen as desirable but not essential. Analyse and interpret technical information to understand and articulate commercial consequences. Build relationships with clients through supporting account management and project delivery. Act as a technical advisor/leader for consultancy projects for corporate clients across a variety of sectors focusing on environmental, health & safety and ESG. A sound understanding of Australian regulations governing environmental and health & safety issues will be seen as desirable. Ensure quality and timely delivery of project outputs within budget. Assist senior sellers and account directors/managers in identifying and pursuing potential business opportunities with existing and new clients. Help develop proposals for clients, including methodological approach and description of tasks, budgets and team structures. Qualifications Degree in Environmental Science or Engineering, Sustainability, Climate Change, Chemical Sciences or related discipline. Preferably 3 to 5 years of experience in consulting sectors, familiar with environmental and/or health and safety advisory. Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision. Strong written, communication and presentation skills and the ability to work in a team is essential. Strong skills with MS Office applications.
