The Consultant – Water and Energy reports to the National Partner – Energy Decarbonisation and Major Project Delivery South and East, and is a career-defining role for a progressive professional interested in sharing the extraordinary growth journey of Sequana. You should be a strategic, commercially focused individual and will have the opportunity to support the development of Sequana's strategy, challenges, and opportunities, and explore, innovate, and develop solutions. The Consultant – Water and Energy will proactively support the national team, constantly seeking to improve the way we deliver services to our clients and colleagues.
What you do Responsible for delivering consulting assignments in the economics space.Support the business across projects and regions to grow skills and capacity in the economics advisory space.Communicate and embed program and project delivery frameworks, processes and tools to ensure governance, oversight and accountability.Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimise their impact on the project.Support work programs to ensure that they are delivered to client expectations, timeframes, costs and specifications.Work with a diverse and inclusive team who are responsible for the delivery, completion, and reporting of projects.Engage and establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Elevate brand awareness through networking at industry events.Support a culture of delivery excellence through coaching and knowledge sharing with both client and Sequana colleagues.Ensure the changes arising from the implementation of new strategies, policies/procedures and initiatives are effectively applied.Prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders and senior management.Who you are Candidates should possess:
Tertiary or similar relevant qualifications.Minimum 4 years experience in the areas of economics and strategic advice as it relates to the Water, Energy or Resources sectors.Proven track record in multi-disciplinary project management.Strongly developed written and oral communication skills.Proven experience fostering collaboration and strategic partnerships.Sound understanding of integrated management systems encompassing quality, safety and environmental aspects.Budgeting skills to manage time effectively and competing priorities.Ability to perform under time pressure whilst providing high-quality outcomes in every aspect of work.Proven commercial acumen including contractual management, tenders & bids, legal & procurement activities.You ideally have a consultancy background.High level of business and personal ethics.What it's like working at Sequana: There are a ton of reasons why Sequana is an amazing company to work at, and here are some that we think you'll find most interesting:
