The Role
We currently have an opportunity to join our Risk Assurance team as a consultant in a permanent position.
This opportunity is open to work from our Melbourne or North Sydney office in conjunction with our hybrid work from home options.

This role supports the Senior Manager, Assurance to independently monitor, challenge and support MLCL's performance with respect to key strategic initiatives and enterprise risk management and compliance frameworks.
The role also extends to assisting the team with delivery of regular targeted controls training to our business stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:
Performing systemic reviews and deep dives of the implementation of the risk and compliance management frameworks and processes across the enterprise to ensure risk is managed within appetite Supporting the team in reporting on those reviews to the Executive Leadership Team and Board Conduct independent control testing and identify opportunities to simplify the controls environment Promote a positive risk culture and support business stakeholders comply with MLCL Risk Minimum Standards Contribute to the continuous improvement of MLCL Risk Minimum Standards, Processes and Procedures Any other task as requested by the Senior Manager, Assurance and/or General Manager Risk About you:
A strong understanding of risk management principles including control design, implementation and assessment Effective time management and proven ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities Highly developed collaboration skills with the ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver business as usual monitoring outcomes A demonstrated ability to successfully manage internal and external stakeholder relationships Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail Your experience will include:
Minimum 3 years' experience in a Compliance or Risk related position in the financial services industry Tertiary qualifications in Legal, Risk Management or Finance (i.e.
Accounting, Actuarial, Commerce, Banking, Economics) Expertise in operational risk oversight including incident/issue management and control environment assessment Understanding of risk management systems Experience working in a fast paced and dynamic environment delivering results Bringing our best to life - why join us?
