Skills in epidurals for delivery suite and anaesthesia for obstetrics is required.Scope of Practice in paediatric anaesthesia (5 years and younger) is desirable.An interest or experience in Intensive Care management of patients.An interest in, or experience in, regional anaesthesia and acute and / or chronic pain management.Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA).Current registration with/or eligible for registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.Join a highly motivated team providing anaesthetic services to the Hospital and Health Service.Opportunity to develop areas of clinical interest to you within anaesthesia (including obstetrics and regional), ICU, perioperative medicine, pain management, medical education, and wellbeing.Provide training to anaesthetic trainees and other health professionals and ensure continued evidence-based practice.The position requires the incumbent to fulfil clinical on-call requirements in Anaesthetics practice and undertake on-call in Anaesthetics in line with their approved scope of clinical practice.
You will also be expected to provide services to ICU patients under the care of their admitting specialist and remote supervising intensivist.The Hospital:The Hospital and Health Service covers an area of over 300,000 square kilometres and services the rural and remote communities.
It has developed into the major referral hospital for the region, with smaller satellite hospitals.
It offers primary, secondary and community health services in addition to specialist services such as anaesthetics, paediatrics, psychiatry, surgery and obstetrics & gynaecology.
It also hosts a range of clinics in specialty and sub-specialty services.

Skills/Qualifications:The applicant will hold: Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent acceptable to the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and registrable as a specialist with the Medical Board of Queensland.
