Using all forms of data and the right analytics, we help clients realise greater agility and resilience by increasing confidence in the decisions they make. This allows our clients to improve business performance using solutions that combine human expertise with smart technology. This role will involve leveraging analytical techniques to help our clients make better decisions with their data. Depending on what a particular client needs, we make use of business intelligence tools such as Power BI; statistical and data science approaches including machine learning; all the way through to AI, bespoke algorithms and large-scale cloud computing approaches. In this role you will be able to add to your existing skillset and experience, with your work playing an integral role in tackling real problems.This opportunity is based in Sydney and ideally requires an NV1 Australian Government security clearance, but Australian citizenship as a minimum and an openness to obtaining the required clearance. You will also be expected to spend several days each week on site at RAAF Glenbrook in the Blue Mountains.What will make you successful in this role?Success in this role will require you to either possess characteristics like those listed below, or to have a strong interest in developing them:• A passion for taking on interesting and impactful real-world problems using analysis to drive better data-driven decision-making• Quantitative skills from fields such as mathematics, statistics, data science, actuarial, economics, engineering, or the classical sciences• Experience with platforms including Power BI (intermediate to advanced use), Visual Studio, MS SQL Server Management Studio, Azure DevOps, Git will help you standout for the initial piece of work we have in mind.• Skills with Tableau, Microsoft Azure, Wolfram Language / Mathematica, Python or R may also be advantageous for later opportunities• Strong communication skills and the ability and desire to work in close collaboration with diverse groups of Atturra peers and clients• A willingness to learn from and collaborate with our Atturra experts and our clients on challenging problems across a range of industries• Security clearance to work on Australian federal government and defence projects is highly desirable; but in the absence of this, Australian citizenship and a willingness to apply for relevant security clearances.How to applyAtturra is passionate about playing an active role in addressing the digital skills gap and being an advocate for diversity and Inclusion, and welcomes applications from all irrespective of their gender, LGBTQI identity, ethnicity, religion, physical ability, or age.
