Job summary/Role descriptionTecnimont (Integrated E&C Solutions) and Baker Hughes has been awarded by SONATRACH an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for the implementation of three gas boosting stations and the upgrading of the gathering system, located at the Hassi R'mel gas field, 550 kilometers south of Algiers. The gas field is the largest in Algeria and one of the largest in the world. The overall contract value is about USD 2.3 billion, of which USD 1.7 billion relates to Tecnimont.
The scope of the project entails the implementation of three gas boosting stations, including turbo-compressors that will compress about 188 million standard cubic meters per day of natural gas. Additionally, the project entails the upgrading of the existing gas gathering system, which includes more than 300 km of flowlines connecting the wells. Completion of the project is scheduled within 39 months from the contract's effective date.
Duties and responsibilitiesTo ensure Site Quality Plan preparation, its adequacy and application at Site, arranging any reviews, if required;To verify NDT, Welding Inspectors and quality control site team activities;To ensure the proper preparation of the test, inspection reports and books;To review Subcontractors' site Quality System, Quality Organization and procedures.To check the flow of information and documents;To identify any organizational or procedural defect, analysing critical points, arranging any corrective action together with the Site Manager and informing Head Office Construction Department Manager and Project Quality Manager accordingly;To plan and perform periodical Audit on Subcontractors activities;To prepare his own section of Monthly report.Knowledge & QualificationsUniversity Degree or Diploma in a relevant discipline or equivalentExperienceRelevant experience in construction/modernization of large Petrochemical plants/ EPC projects;Strong subcontractors and construction/commissioning management experience in EPC project, Large/XL plants;Minimum 5 years' experience in the specific discipline.Previous experience with the same client will be more suitableSimilar role covered in last three projects of comparable size;Experience working on Contractor side.Skills and AbilitiesFluent English;Excellent IT and analytical skills;Excellent communications, team-oriented and interpersonal skills;Attention to details;Self-motivation and direction, with a strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.Special Requirements and CommentsOnly spontaneous candidates with significant experience, consistent with the relevant field, will be considered for this position.
