A large government department is looking for a construction project manager for a 6 month contract based out of Parramatta.

About the Company
The position is accountable to ensure consistency, accuracy and efficiency in project delivery, cost and risk management across all assigned projects within and across asset classes. The position contributes to the development of the Program of work, and continuously challenges and identifies ways to improve the delivery of projects.

About the Role
Lead medium-risk projects, ensuring clear project plans with targets and deliverables. Develop business cases for high-risk projects, including options analysis and recommendations. Manage stakeholder engagement and communications, aligning with the departments strategy. Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, managing changes and schedules effectively. Oversee procurement, quality, safety, and environmental compliance throughout project phases. Provide accurate project status reporting and conduct post-implementation reviews for lessons learned.
About You
Must have extensive project management experience, especially with large projects. Leadership and senior management experience is preferred. Experience working with key stakeholders is advantageous. Minimum of 10 years' industry experience, including: Leading large, diverse teams or alliances. Infrastructure/utilities project delivery. NEC contract management. Managing complex stakeholders and driving positive change. Program and regional delivery management. Experience with various contracting models. Demonstrates ethical behaviour, effective communication, enthusiasm for change, and a decisive approach to critical decisions.
