About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for a Construction Project Manager to take on a challenging and fulfilling role within the Alstef Group.
The role, in conjunction with the project team, builds and promotes the integrity of Alstef's brand, exceeding client expectation and supporting the Company's position as market leader.
Tasks include: planning and developing accurate and detailed project schedules that are realistic and can be completed within the time allocated at time of tender reviewing and understanding the estimate and scope of work coordinating labour resources, and procurement and delivery of materials, plant and equipment consulting with Design teams (Electrical, Mechanical and Software) and other professionals Reviewing and negotiating budgets with the procurement team negotiating with subcontractors involved in the construction process and controlling usage and expenditure to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget communicating effectively with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to coordinate resource usage overseeing the work of subcontractors to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained operating and implementing coordinated work programs for sites ensuring project teams follow Alstef's Health and Safety Systems and policies and adhere to the relevant building legislation, codes and standards preparing Project quality plans consistent with Alstef's quality control procedures and systems conducting quality inspections of the projects carried out Benefits Flexible working policy Employee referral program of $1500 AUD Company phone and laptop Access to INSTEP EAP wellbeing support services Global career progression opportunities Skills and Experience Qualifications and experience Applicants must have a relevant Bachelor's degree or higher qualification; or At least five years of relevant experience Skills and requirements: · Proven experience in negotiation and conflict management · Proven delivery of project outcomes with contractual documentation · Sound working knowledge of contractual and commercial issues · Sound working knowledge of financial management and budgeting processes including the ability to estimate cost to complete and forecast cost at completion · Sound working knowledge of project scheduling and planning · Has an in-depth knowledge of the Alstef's products and abilities · Has the ability to gain in-depth knowledge of clients and potential clients · Strong business acumen and able to think strategically and identify new product/business opportunities · Ability to provide estimates at a glance of layout drawings · Excellent communication skills at all levels · Smart and well-presented appearance that reflects Alstef's professional image
