Our client, an award-winning Australian-owned company specialising in construction, design, and engineering, is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team for a project based in Carlingford.
Their projects range from residential high-rises to industrial facilities, aged-care centres, and educational institutions, bringing a unique blend of creativity and technical innovation.
About the Role: Reporting to the Construction Manager, the role is crucial for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high safety and quality standards.
You will be responsible for providing leadership, direction, and management while planning the project from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities for the Role: - Ensure optimum outcomes regarding safety, quality, budget, time, and capacity to meet delivery program schedules relative to program costs.
- Manage the construction resources for all scheduled construction activities.
- Control costs, forecast revisions, and cash flow for project financial reporting, including risks and opportunities.
- Schedule proposed construction activities - Manage the tendering process and reporting.
- Build close working relationships with all stakeholders.
- Manage monthly resource information and documentation.
- Report on the project's progress to the Construction Manager.
- Develop a procurement program in conjunction with the Contracts Administrator.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Skills & Experience: - Must have a background in construction project management.
- Minimum five years of industry experience in a Senior Management or Administration position (i.e., Site Manager, Project Engineer or Contract Administrator).
- Tertiary Degree or Diploma in Building Management (or other relevant tertiary qualifications).
- Computer literate in Word, Excel, programming, and job cost software.
- Experience with MS Project, CHEOPS Job Cost Accounting/Document Management System, Aconex preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail.
