The Role
ICG Construction Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Manager to lead our growing team. This senior role is pivotal in driving the success of our projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality execution, and strict adherence to budget and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Lead the construction division of the Independent Contractors Group, ICG Construction.Lead a dedicated team of Project Managers, Engineers, and Site Managers, fostering a high-performance culture.Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of commercial and industrial projects.Provide oversight to the team on monitoring and reporting on project progress, proactively addressing potential issues and roadblocks.Facilitate the preparation and delivery of detailed monthly project meetings to address key project items.Ensure procurement procedures, contract recommendations, and probity in subcontract letting.Collaborate with clients, architects, and stakeholders to ensure projects meet expectations and specifications.Provide oversight to ensure that project budgets are managed effectively.Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.Provide leadership in tender submissions, including methodology and project programming.Manage resource allocation and development initiatives within the construction team.Qualifications & Experience 8+ years of proven experience in a senior construction management role.Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or a related field.Experience with the Design and Building Practitioners Act, and ability to act as Nominee is an advantage.In-depth knowledge of construction processes, contracts, methods, materials, and safety requirements.Familiarity with construction software such as Procore and Hammertech is advantageous.Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship management skills.Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges.Commercial acumen with a high level of understanding of commercial construction contracts.Ability to delegate and hold teams responsible for meeting deadlines and achieving targets.Ability to negotiate firmly but fairly when dealing with subcontractors and clients.Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.Comprehensive understanding of relevant construction legislation and standards.What We Offer
