RoleSummary: TheConstruction Manager Sustainable Projects is an excitingopportunity in our Thermal Projects team based at ourCockburn/Kwinana site.
TheSustainability Projects Construction Manager is an essential memberof both Thermal Projects and the Sustainability Project team. Therole is primarily responsible for the management, co-ordination andsafety of all aspects of construction on assigned projects, acrossall sites, including construction related activities of allentities delivering to the Projects e.g. Western Power orcontractors.
This rolewill primarily be based at Kwinana / Cockburn power station siteand is also expected to frequent Synergy Head Office as required tokey build relationships, there will also be an element of travel tovarious Synergy sites and Project locations with-in theSWIS.
Keyresponsibilities of the role include:
ReviewProject and Contractor plans, designs, specifications, anddrawings for constructability and provide input on anyconstruction aspects to improve schedule, reduce cost and bestmitigate HSE and other project risks. Ensureadequate communication between all Project entities to ensureinterfaces are working efficiently and effectively, to minimizeor mitigate risks to HSE, schedule and cost. Providedirection and timely instructions to ensure continuity ofconstruction and the achievement of targetschedule. Ensurethat induction procedures for all Project site personnel arecarried out in conformance to site and Synergyrequirements. Maintaineffective working relationships with stakeholders and assist inidentifying possible interface issues. Whatyou'll bring: Tradecertificate preferably in electrical, engineering, mechanicalor equivalent Acurrent Australian Drivers Licence(Education/Qualifications) Experience insupervising construction contractors & workforce andmonitoring site works to enable achievement of project deliveryand quality assurance. Experience in reviewingall controlling documents and specifications for the siteconstruction activities ensuring they comply with specifieddesign and construction specification.
