This is a key appointment for the business and is hoped that the successful candidate will grow into a leadership role in the medium term. Our client has become a recognised builder within the high end Residential, Mixed-Commercial & Sports/Recreation sectors, successfully winning & delivering projects between $5-30M. Working closely with the Directors, this rare opportunity is providing a clear pathway into a management role within the company and will have the opportunity to further expand their own team in the short to medium term. The successful candidate will be joining a young, but very experienced, fast-growing business who have had huge success over their 7 years in business. This role is suitable for those of an intermediate level that are motivated and keen to progress quickly, as well as a more established senior keen to move into management & have broader influence over the companies' operations. Responsibilities: Analyze plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates. Utilize industry-leading software and tools to produce detailed cost breakdowns and pricing proposals. Collaborate with project managers, designers, and suppliers to gather all necessary information for accurate estimates. Conduct thorough research to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative materials without compromising quality. Monitor project progress and provide ongoing support to address any changes or revisions to initial estimates. Background Required 5-10 years' experience as an estimator within the commercial building sector. Experience in commercial projects between $5 – 50M. Proficiency in reading architectural drawings and specifications. Familiarity with industry-standard estimating software and tools. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
