Construction Estimator

Tasks Include:Prepare and deliver estimates and cost plans for construction projects up to the tender settlement stage.Gather proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents to prepare work for estimation.Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.Present prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Maintain cost database by entering and backing up data.Solicit and maintain communication with clients and suppliers.Transmit addenda and other bid information.Show creativity and resourcefulness to gain better pricing from suppliers.Submit 100% of bids and budgets by the bid deadline – no exceptions.Review bid requirements thoroughly and ask follow-up questions on every bid.Have a thorough understanding of the scope for specific trades assigned.Develop RFIs and clarifications to architects or clients.Perform a comprehensive "bid day" analysis and scoping of specific assigned trades.Understand how to fit resources to the size/scope of the project.Create bid lists that fit the scope of the job.Minimize exclusions.Include value-engineering ideas on every bid.Work Details:Full Time hours: 40 ordinary hours/wk + 5hr guaranteed overtime/wkAnnual Salary: $27 - $45 per/hr depending on experienceMinimum $73,500 + SuperJob Types: Full-time, PermanentWork Location: In personPay: $73,500.00 – $85,000.00 per year#J-18808-Ljbffr
