Job descriptionTasks Include: Prepare sand deliver estimates and cost plans for construction projects up to the tender settlement stage.Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documentsIdentify labor, material and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documentsComputes costs by analyzing labor, material and time requirementsResolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing informationPresents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive informationPrepares special reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trendsMaintains cost data base by entering and backing up dataSolicits and maintains communication with client and supplierTransmits addenda and other bid informationShows creativity and resourcefulness to gain better pricing from suppliersSubmits 100% of bids and budgets by the bid deadline – no exceptionsProject KnowledgeReviews bid requirements thoroughly and asks follow-up question on every bidHas a thorough understanding of the scope for specific trades assignedDevelops RFI's and clarifications to architects or clientPerforms a comprehensive "bid day" analysis and scoping of specific assigned tradesUnderstands how to fit resources to the size /scope of projectCreates bid lists that fit scope of jobMinimizes exclusionsIncludes value-engineering ideas on every bidFull Time hours: 40 ordinary hours/wk + 5hr guaranteed overtime/wk
Annual Salary - $27 - $45 per/hr depending on experience
