Building a Better Bunbury TogetherWe're looking for a number of versatile Construction and Maintenance Workers with proven experience in operating plant and machinery, along with hands-on skills in civil construction. This is more than a plant operator role—it's an opportunity to blend your operational expertise with on-the-ground capabilities, contributing directly to Bunbury's road, drainage, and concrete infrastructure. Detailed Responsibilities Include:Operate and maintain machinery, including excavators, graders, front-end loaders and rollers.Utilise water trucks to control moisture during roadworks and manage single-axle trucks for other construction tasks.Contribute to road construction, drainage systems and path installations by applying your skills on-site.Work to precise levels and plans for drainage, excavation and concrete tasks.Set up and finish concrete structures, lay drainage pipes and construct stormwater pits.What You Bring to the RoleProven experience in road construction and maintenance, including operating plant machinery like excavators and skid steers.Ability to read plans, work to levels, and deliver quality civil works.HR driver's licence (or commitment to obtain within six months) and a White Card.A proactive approach to safety and teamwork.Advanced concreting abilities and experience working from technical drawings.Basic Traffic Management or Traffic Control qualifications.What We Offer YouA competitive Level 3 salary of $74,529 (plus super).A 9-day fortnight for better work-life balance.4 weeks of annual leave with 17.5% loading.Salary sacrificing options for additional super contributions.Reduced gym membership at the South West Sports Centre.How to ApplyApplications are only accepted through the City of Bunbury's Career Portal, where you will address the selection criteria and upload a cover letter and resume.
