Our valued client is a property developer and builder specialising in the acquisition and construction of high-end residential homes. They are a family-run business based in the Adelaide CBD with decades of local and overseas experience. With a growing pipeline of projects, they are seeking to bring aboard an experienced and enthusiastic Construction Administrator to join their team in time for a January 2025 start.
Reporting to the Business Managers, the Construction Administrator will be responsible for liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of onsite works underpinned by high-quality project administration.
Key duties and responsibilities: Coordinating works with architects, engineers, councils, suppliers and contractors.Procurement and scheduling of trades and suppliers.Managing submissions to councils and utilities providers.Establishing and maintaining project costings and budget tracking.Providing regular reporting to the management team.Maintaining purchase orders and invoices.Ensuring project files are current with all relevant plans, drawings and documents.Occasional site visits to assist the Construction Manager with project delivery. What you can bring to the role: Minimum 3 years' experience as a Construction/Contract Administrator in a residential building company.Tertiary qualification in a construction-related field desirable.Intermediate Excel skills and general competency with the Microsoft Office suite.Experience with Bluebeam Revu for basic markups and take-offs.Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.High-level attention to detail and accuracy.Self-motivation and dedication to creating quality outcomes.Adaptability and flexibility in managing daily workloads.A current driver's licence.A bit of an obsession with property like the rest of us will be a big plus! This is a permanent position for the successful candidate with Monday to Friday office hours. Some out of hours availability by phone and email is necessary to organise trades and suppliers.
