Conservation OfficerFull-time Temporary with a Possibility of PermanencyDetails: ACT Heritage, within the Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate, is looking for a suitably qualified Conservation Officer to assist ACT Heritage and the ACT Heritage Council in providing advice on the significance, conservation and management of places and objects subject to Heritage Act 2004 provisions.
The position would suit a professional with experience in and knowledge of heritage conservation and management principles, and their application in a statutory context. Project management and representation skills are required, as are excellent time management and communication skills. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate strong teamwork skills, as well as an ability to work independently.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Skills, experience and qualifications in a heritage related field are highly desirable. Heritage related fields include cultural heritage management, archaeology, architecture, history, landscape architecture, cultural geography and conservation management.
Notes: This is a temporary position available from 20 January 2025 until 30 June 2025 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
