About the opportunity
The Connections Development Manager - Major Connections oversees a portfolio of large, complex and politically sensitive customer projects across South Australia.
They will work with stakeholders and their Major Connections team to understand customer needs, build strategic partnerships, develop solutions, define project scope and costs, create project plans, develop contracts, monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure alignment with SA Power Networks' strategy.
They lead a team handling major connections, large energy resource connections and major asset relocation projects for important customers and major infrastructure projects across South Australia.
They also manage major customer accounts across various portfolios, aiming to enhance customer service, build strategic partnerships, and unlock commercial opportunities.
Additionally, they are responsible for transforming processes and services related to major connections, driving excellence in project management and introducing new services to meet major customers' needs.
Key role objectives
Lead management of a portfolio of complex Major Customer projects, ensuring end-to-end delivery on time, cost, and quality objectives.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment of expectations and delivery objectives while proactively managing concerns and conflicts for timely resolution.
Develop and continuously improve project/portfolio management tools and systems to enable efficient delivery, manage internal resources, and coordinate customer activity.
Lead and demonstrate agility in adapting to dynamic project requirements, regulatory changes, and market conditions, fostering continuous improvement and innovation to enhance the delivery of customer services.
Lead continuous improvement in customer experience, through the enhancement of processes, systems and customer facing documentation.
Oversee financial planning and management of major customer projects, preparing detailed budgets, approvals, forecasts, and reports.
Develop account management facilities for major customers and their representatives.
Engage with customers to develop tailored solutions to meet their energy needs, while identifying commercial opportunities.
Essential role requirements
Degree in a business-related discipline (project management, engineering, business), or equivalent level of skills and knowledge gained through experience.
Significant experience in major project delivery.
SA Drivers licence (Class C).
