About the role

Reporting to our Senior Conflicts and Compliance Lawyer, you will be a key member of the Conflicts Team and provide valued input [and expert advice] to internal stakeholders on conflicts of interest and compliance related matters. The duties of this role include but are not limited to:

performing and analysing conflicts of interest searches;
liaising with local and global Partners to manage potential conflicts and information barriers;
reviewing prospective clients for reputational and financial risks;
assisting in the review of contractual arrangements and advising on legal and commercial risks;
assisting with educating and training staff on conflicts matters across our Australian and PNG offices; and
providing general legal support and assistance to the General Counsel and Risk team and Dentons generally.

You will work with highly experienced and supportive senior practitioners who will guide and encourage your further learning and development.

About you

This role would suit a Conflicts or Risk Lawyer (or Analyst) or a lawyer with 1 or 2 years of PQE with relevant corporate, commercial and/or compliance experience who has worked in a law firm environment. Your excellent research and analytical skills and high level of attention to detail are essential to be successful in this role.
