About the role We are seeking a dedicated Configuration Engineer to join our team in Caringbah.
This role will ensure that our Diving and Hyperbaric products and systems are configured, maintained, and optimised to meet JFD's high standards.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager Diving and Hyperbaric, you will be leading configuration control and change management processes across various defence and commercial projects.
Primary duties include : Manage full lifecycle configuration of dive and hyperbaric equipment, ensuring documentation accuracy and version control.
Maintain configuration documentation, including drawings, technical specs, software versions, and bills of materials.
Drive continuous improvement in configuration processes, ensuring alignment with JFD and contractual requirements.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Qualifications: Tertiary Engineering qualification with formal training in Configuration Management or equivalent industry experience.
Experience: Proven expertise in configuration management standards and practices.
Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent organisational skills.
Effective communicator with experience in cross-functional teamwork.
Software Proficiency: 3D Modelling (Solidworks desirable), 2D Drawing (AutoCAD desirable), PLM software (Lascom desirable), and intermediate MS Excel and Word skills.
Other Requirements: Australian Security Clearance eligibility and a valid C Class Driver's License.
