We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Conference & Events (Banquets) Supervisor.
Supervising the operations in banqueting to ensure our events run as smoothly as possible.
The Conference Centre presents itself as a unique designer space with 11 purpose-built meeting rooms, allowing for endless possibilities.The Banquets Supervisor will be primarily responsible for the operational requirements of the banqueting department but may also be required to work some shifts in the restaurant.ResponsibilitiesMeet & greet at the commencement of the event, run through the planned program, note any changes and advise other departments accordingly.Supervise, lead and manage the banquets team.Ensure that any guest requests are handled promptly and courteously, providing an outstanding and memorable guest experience.Coordinate team members to ensure events run smoothly.Be operational and hands-on, assisting the team.Supervise and execute function room setup and service to ensure client needs are met according to the event order.To be successful in this role, the applicant must possess:Passion for customer service.Supervisory experience in a similar role.Proven experience in leading and motivating a team.Strong interpersonal skills with both internal and external customers.Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and remain calm under pressure.Excellent time management and communication skills.Be available to work a minimum of 38 hours per week across a variety of shifts.Benefits:Great team environment.Learning & Development opportunities.Duty meals.Uniform provided and laundered.Central city location with complimentary onsite secure parking.Discounted accommodation rates at Australian and New Zealand properties.Discounted Food and Beverage.
