Overlooking the city skyline and Roma St Parklands, the Hotel features 179 spacious guest rooms with generous open-aired balconies, modern amenities, an outdoor swimming pool, fitness room, and an alfresco-style restaurant and bar.Job DescriptionMercure Brisbane Spring Hill are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Conference & Events Supervisor to join the team! The ideal candidate will oversee the smooth execution of events and conferences, ensuring that all details are managed from start to finish.Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Ensure each event runs seamlessly while meeting high-quality standards.Coordinate with internal and external clients, and act as the main contact during events whilst addressing any issues or special requests promptly to ensure client satisfaction.Supervise and coordinate event staff members involved including other departments, ensuring efficient operations and quality service.Assist the Sales & Marketing Manager in managing event budgets for cost-control purposes.Oversee the logistics of events, including room setups, catering arrangements, and any other necessary services.Conduct debrief with clients and staff to evaluate event success and areas of improvement.Qualifications1-2 years of relevant experience in a Conference and Events outlet, preferably in Hospitality.Sound understanding of emerging trends in the industry.A valid QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.Strong knowledge of a variety of beverages including beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails.Full-time availability to work across a flexible 7-day roster.Ability to work under pressure and handle increase in workload during peak times.Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, and networking skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales management software.Additional InformationWhy work for Accor?We are far more than a worldwide leader.
