About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Conference & Events (C&E) Sales Manager to join our team at Rydges South Bank, a prestigious 4.5-star property renowned for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
As the C&E Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth by actively promoting and selling our conference and event spaces.
You will play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with clients, ensuring smooth and successful execution of events, and working closely with our operations team to deliver unforgettable experiences.
In this role, you will need to be an excellent communicator, an enthusiastic networker, and a strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities Drive sales strategies to maximise event space revenue. Engage clients through networking, research, and sales calls. Build strong client relationships for repeat business. Conduct site visits, presentations, and negotiate contracts. Collaborate with operations for seamless event planning. Prepare clear proposals, contracts, and event orders. Monitor market trends to identify new opportunities. Exceed sales targets and maintain accurate records. Represent the hotel at industry events and networks (including after hours events). Partner with marketing on promotional materials and campaigns. Develop and manage sales budgets and forecasts. Lead and mentor the sales team for growth and success. Collaborate with operations to create and sell new packages. Skills & Experience: 3-5 years in sales, with a focus on events in the hospitality sector; experience in 4-star or luxury hotels is a plus. Proven ability to meet/exceed sales targets; strong negotiation and selling skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present and build client rapport effectively. Strong project management; able to multitask and manage multiple accounts and details. Passionate about delivering top-tier service; excels at understanding client needs. Effective collaborator with internal teams to ensure seamless event execution. Creative and solution-oriented; skilled at resolving client challenges. Proficient in Microsoft Office and sales/event management software (iVvy & Opera knowledge highly desirable).
